Leo’s Log

A personal blog, talking about things that interest me

About

Hi

I heard about WordPress from Dr. Dave Newman in Queens University Belfast.

While I installed it on one of my servers, it is easier to use an on-line version like this, so I will be trying out various things…

I used to have a blog on www.mobhaile.ie, but it seems to have disappeared, so I am starting again here.

I attended University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, and Dublin City University, studying business administration and information technology. I now work in the eDemocracy Unit in the Houses of the Oireachtas, the parliament of Ireland, in Dublin.

I intend this blog to be mostly about social and personal interests, trains and boats, some historical matters, and perhaps some serendipity.

Regards,

I once read your account of a train journey from the new station at Spensor Dock along the restored line which runs along the banks of the Royal Canal from Dublin to Maynooth. I seem to remember that the journey was in March 2007. I can no longer find that story on the internet.

Yes – I had a blog on http://www.mobhaile.ie but it seems to have disappeared, and the operators have not supplied me with the postings.
