Steam train arrives in Dundalk Station

Locomotive No. 186 was transferred from Belfast to Dublin on 28 September 2008, while No. 4 went from Dublin to Belfast.

No. 186 was built in 1879 by Sharp, Stewart & Co., Atlas Works, Manchester for the Great Southern and Western Railway. She was withdrawn in 1964.

The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland is running the “Sea Breeze” on 3 August and 24 August 2008.

Train 1: Dublin Connolly to Wexford/Rosslare Strand & return Depart 10:45, back by 20:00

Train 2: Wexford to Rosslare Strand & return Depart 14:15, back by 16:30
