Asked the clerk in Heuston Station for a return tuicket to Bridgetown.
Do we go there? she asked.
Yes, I replied firmly.
Where is it near?
Waterford.
She gave me a ticket tp Bridgetown.
I changed in Limerick Junction.
Difficult job getting a taxi from Bridgetown to Kilmore Quay.
It never ceases to amaze me how few people have heard of the railway from Waterford to Rosslare, including Irish Rail staff!
No wonder traffic levels are low.
The Incredible Barrow Bridge never fails to impress – the third longest railway bridge in Ireland and the UK.

Got to see The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui at the Abbey Theatre this afternoon.
Times are bad. Prices are rising. House prices are falling. There’s a recession looming. A new leader is needed. It’s 1930s Chicago.
A very impressive production of a play that is relevant today.

Oireachtas – Flash Webcasting

A new broadband Flash Webcasting service is now available on the Houses of the Oireachtas Web site.
This is in addition to the Oireachtas Live Windows Media Player, MPEG2 and MPEG4 services already available.
